The Somali Children’s Rights Summit, held on November
20, 2025, at the Eco Hub in Mogadishu, marked a pivotal
moment for child advocacy in Somalia. Organized by
DHOODAAN in strategic collaboration with Dr. Summait
Hospital (SIMAD University) and the National Youth
Council, this one-day event successfully transformed
World Children’s Day from a ceremonial observance into
a dynamic platform for engagement. The summit
brought together a diverse group of 100 participants,
comprising approximately 50 children and their parents,
to create a safe, inclusive space where young voices could
be amplified and heard.
